Rockjumper Birding Tours

Birdscape Fine Art
and the “Destination Birds of the World” Series

Birdscape Fine Art

The avid world birder knows that trips are often planned around seeing some very specific birds with special emphasis on endemics. Furthermore, there is often one bird that is the key target of the trip. It may be rare, elusive and beautiful, like the Gurney’s Pitta of Thailand. Or so unique and magnificent that it is in its own family, like Africa’s massive Shoebill.

Birdscape Fine Art introduces Destination Birds of the World, a series of original art, created to capture the thrill of these exciting encounters with nature’s most outstanding avian creations. Not only are these top world birds beautifully depicted, but their natural habitat is also recreated with vibrancy and splendor. These paintings are centerpieces of any room and will be a constant reminder of exhilarating birding in wild places.

The first series includes 12 such wonderful birds. The original works are 18” x 25” pastels, meticulously painted by Leon Fouche, a brilliant South African nature artist. Each painting is extremely detailed and takes Leon over a month to produce. Limited edition paper and canvas Giclée prints are also available, along with a line of cards. (The term “Giclée” refers to digital printing of extraordinary quality. The limited edition prints rival the vibrant beauty of the original works and are considered museum quality).

We also market the original paintings, special commissions and high quality cards. Please visit our website for more details or to purchase online: http://www.birdscapefineart.com
