Gavin Lautenbach was born and raised in the avi-fauna rich Natal Province of South Africa. Gavin has always had a keen interest on Southern Africa’s bird life from an early age. Unquestionably one of South Africa’s top wildlife guides, Gavin has managed to showcase our birdlife to thousands of guests over the past ten years. He is also a keen naturalist and wildlife photographer and is accomplished at delivering a thrilling and polished safari whether it is focused on birds, mammals or the environment. Outside of birding his bush interests focus on tracking potentially dangerous game and specialist photographic safaris. His humor and willingness to go beyond normal parameters in search of the unusual make him a superb companion on any trip.
